Search and install "UMANG" from the official App Store. Register using your primary Aadhaar-linked mobile number.
Go to the global search bar on the home screen and type "Parivahan Sewa" or "DigiLocker".
Choose Driving License or Registration Certificate. Input your DL number, vehicle registration number, and chassis number parameters.
Click "Get Document". The app fetches authenticated records directly from the central national registers, displaying a secure, legally-permissible QR card.
Electronic documentation presented via authorized platforms like UMANG and DigiLocker is legally recognized by all Traffic Police and RTO authorities under Rule 139 of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules (CMVR) 1989.
Not sure which to use? mParivahan is dedicated purely to transport services and offers better RC/DL offline mocks. UMANG is best if you want an all-in-one app that also stores your Aadhaar, EPF, and PAN cards.
